Services Available:

Our goal is to provide you with an enjoyable, easily managed landscape that will enhance the beauty and value of your home while also protecting the natural environment. To accomplish this, we emphasize the use of native plants, strive to minimize the use of high-maintenance plants and eliminate the use of non-native invasive plants so destructive to natural areas.

Because of our dedication to you, we offer unique quality designs and not the “cookie-cutter” landscapes so commonly seen. Our vast knowledge of design, horticulture and environmental issues allows us to provide you with the most current information available. Our continued dedication to you means that you can access our web site for the latest resources on gardening and landscaping. And we are always available for assistance, either on-site or online.

Our Design Services fee schedule is as follows:

For this fee, you will get:

If you are looking for a landscape design drawing, we usually walk the property with you to discuss what you are looking for or to change in your landscape. We then take measurements, decide on plant material, and create your drawing either on site or at the office. For more detailed designs, we will schedule a follow-up visit. At this time we present you with your detailed hand-drawn, landscape design (to scale), complete with detailed footnotes and a shopping list, a timeline & sequence for installation, and general design and care guidelines. The designs are easy to follow and to read by you or your landscaper for installation...And we are always happy to answer your questions by phone or email to help assist you during your landscape installation.

The cost of your design will depend on the number of hours spent on creating it. The size of your property, amount of pre-existing plant material, level of detail you desire, time walking the property and consulting with you, will all affect the cost. It can take as little as a few hours for a small bed/pine-island up to several hours for a full plan. A typical 1/4 acre lot front yard plan usually runs about $300. A complete plan (front & back) for a typical 1/4 acre lot usually runs about $350-$400. If you have a budget to meet, please let us know in advance and we will try to work with your budget.

Please Note: We do not design structures or hardscaping. However, we can help assist you to determine the size, shape, and placement of these hard-scape features from an artistic design perspective (such as the placement and shape of a pond or waterfall). We'd recommend that you then contract out the work to a licensed firm (structural engineer, landscape architect, builder, etc.) and they could create a detailed structural design drawing.
