Georgia Petite Indian Hawthorn combines several desirable traits into one plant: evergreen, compact, flowering and
fruiting, disease resistant and easy to grow. This is a very versatile landscape shrub.
With leaves smaller than other varieties of Indian Hawthorn, Georgia Petite blooms with pale pink (almost white) flowers
in spring and has occasional dark blue fruit in the summer. This variety is very resistant to the fungal leaf spot
diseases that plague other Indian Hawthorns.
Grow GP Indian Hawthorn in a shrub border, along walkways or mixed with perennials. It grows well in full sun to partial
shade although flowering will be better in the sun. Plant GP Indian Hawthorn in rich, well-drained soil. Good companion
plants include: Loropetalum, Roses, Iceplant, Black-eyed Susan and other sun-loving shrubs and perennials.
Note: All varieties of Indian Hawthorn are eaten by deer. If you have a deer problem, plant in a protected area.
